So my effects bake successfully from the editor, show up in the Unity project, but nothing happens when the scene is run.

I followed the configuration/baking process outlined in the wiki and tutorial videos, exporting to a clean project with the desktop standalone plugin loaded, cameras, effects, and rendering scripts configured as outlined.

The PkFx gizmo appears in my scene, the scene runs normally with no console errors, I'm also getting nothing in my Popcorn log file.

I downloaded and ran the Discovery pack in a clean project in the same version of the Unity editor, that ran fine.

Something I'm missing here?

Ok, so you have the PKFxRenderingPlugin component on your camera, a gameobject within the camera's range with a PKFxFX component atttached, right? 

Did you actually attach a pkfx file from the StreamingAssets to the PKFxFX component (see https://wiki.popcornfx.com/index.php/Category:Unity#Use_Particle_Effects step 4)? 

Do you have any errors in the console?
