I would like to stretch a given texture across a ribbon while preventing this -> http://i.imgur.com/jOqJOtW.png

LifeRatio to TextureU works great until the system stops emitting, at which point you get this really obvious texture termination. I feel like I have missed something supremely obvious ._.

You probably want to set your Particle Layer to infinite http://wiki.popcornfx.com/index.php/CActionFactoryParticleSpawnerBase . Make sure you disable Editor looping: #27 here: http://wiki.popcornfx.com/index.php/Particle_editor#Top_toolbar

The system is not intended to be an infinite slash, but rather spawner evolvers following parent particles.

I imagine It could be done by setting a particles TextureU to it's position in the particle array / total particles in that array. I could even settle for some sort of color curve hack that keeps the termination line soft.
