Hi guys,

We have a really nasty hard crash in our Unity game which I believe is caused by the Popcorn plugin. I am not 100% since it is pretty tricky to reproduce. It seems to crash somewhere inside the plugin with no proper call stack or anything,
The error.log looks like this. I think it is caused by destroying a game object with a child which has a PkFX component but again it is hard to repro, so I am not sure.

Also, I don't know if this is a related issue but I can cause the same (or at least similar) crash by selecting any Popcorn particle effect while in editor play mode and click on 'Reload Attributes' twice. This makes the editor go boom 100%.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hi HolyManfred,

The random crashes should be fixed in the next update. Shoot us an email to support[AT]popcornfx[DOT]com with your invoice number and we'll send you a preview build so we can make sure it's gone.

About the reload attributes button, it actually unloads the effect and should never be done when the effect is playing. It's not related to the other crashes but I'll make sure to fix the crash.
